Showcasing the heaviest and the most crucial hard-hitters across the hardcore, punk, thrash and metal scenes right now, This Is Hardcore is the perfect environment to witness all that is great right now in these fiercely independent scenes. Taking place at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia across four days in August, the 2016 builds on the excellence of past years with headline sets by hardcore punk originators Youth of Today, Turning Point, Integrity and Gorilla Biscuits. Recent successes such as punk/metal crossover acts Power Trip and Nails (see the latter's set from the 2012 edition below) join them, as do some of the finest young bands breaking through.
