Allie Wrubel (January 15, 1905 – January 13, 1973) was an American composer and songwriter. Born in Middletown, Connecticut, Wrubel attended Wesleyan University and Columbia University before working in dance bands. He began his musical career in Greenwich Village, New York where he roomed with his close friend and famous film star, James Cagney. He played saxophone and clarinet for a variety of famous swing bands. In 1934 he moved to Hollywood to work for Warner Bros. as a contract song writer.
