M.I.A. is flying high with her latest single “Bird Song,” produced by Blaqstarr. “I’m a parrot,” says Maya. “Not a liar, but I sure ain’t a vulture.” The kazoo-filled track features other references to birds, along with R. Kelly and Nelly-inspired lyrics. “Drop down, get your eagle on,” she raps. “I believe like R. Kelly you can fly.” The infectious tune, which also features a Diplo remix, is set to appear on M.I.A.’s fifth and final album AIM, due Sept. 9.
