"Tear Gas" is the fifth track from Conway the Machine's second studio album and Shady Records debut project "God Don't Make Mistakes".
"I got stuck, I really didn’t even have any plans of having anybody on it. But I felt like my verse was kinda long, so then I put a little hook on there, just freestyling, fucking around. But I did a song on Wayne’s last album. It was me and Benny on that song, and then we did his podcast, and at the end of the podcast, he said, ‘'Yo, if y'all need anything, if you need me, hit me up’‘. And I was like, ’‘Shit… I’m about to send you something right now’‘. As he mentioned it, I sent him “Tear Gas” and as we were waiting for things to get cleared on the album, I ended up bumping into Rozay and building a relationship with that nigga and just showing love. And I remembered the joint and I was like, ’‘You know what would be ill? To have Wayne and Rozay on this shit’‘. So I had Chad send him that joint and he sent it back the next day."
