"Running Free" is the third song on Iron Maiden's self-titled debut album that appeared in 1980. The song is written by bass player Steve Harris and singer Paul Di’Anno. The lineup further includes Dave Murray and Dennis Stratton on guitars and Clive Burr on drums. The song is still one of the Maiden anthems although, after Bruce Dickinson replaced Paul Di'Anno as lead singer, the band played the song in a slightly different arrangement to better suit Bruce's voice.
