"Satyriasis" brings together the talent of Spiritual Front and Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio in an unparalleled union. Spiritual Front and Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio have both become known and appreciated for their exploration of emotion, sexuality, and esotericism through music. Both bands have blazed undauntedly into these taboo realms of the human experience seeking to reveal both the light and darkness encompassed within our common experience. Spiritual Front has become known for their honest and uninhibited exploration of love, pain, and sex while Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio has reveled in the dominion of spirit, ritual, and sexuality. In a musical genre that rarely dares to explore human sexuality these two bands have been brazen voices.
"Satyriasis" joins together these two potent forces in a CD that features eight exclusive songs. Two songs are collaborative recordings while the other four showcase the individual talent of each band. The title “Satyriasis” is interestingly not only inspired by the mythical and quite sexually charged image of the satyr but is also inspired by a little know medical condition. The condition is described as “…caused by extreme narcissism, which is a state in which one interprets and relates everything to oneself and not to other people or things. Any feelings of inferiority (feeling one is not as good as someone else in something) is controlled by conquering females in a sexual way. Some believe that the cause of satyriasis is biological as opposed to psychological, or even a combination of the two.” Those familiar with the music of either band will understand how both references could apply.
