Description

Las Vegas epic rockers The Killers return to Manchester for their biggest gig to date when they play the M.E.N Arena on Sat 17 February 2007.

Get the low down on Brandon Flowers & Co. with the M.E.N Arena's top five Killers facts:

1: The band's new single, Bones, is the second to be taken from their new album, Sam's Town, and comes accompanied by a music video directed by Tim Burton - his first foray into the world of the pop promo.

2: The Killers 2004 debut, Hot Fuss, includes Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me and All These Things That I've Done. The video to Mr. Brightside stars Gabriel Byrne and Julia Roberts brother Eric.

3: The first single to be taken from Sam's Town, When You Were Young, gave the Vegas quartet their highest chart single to date when it peaked at No. 2 in September of this year.

4: Robbie Williams, U2 and Coldplay have all incorporated The Killers classic line "I've got soul but I'm not a soldier", from All These Things That I've Done, into songs of their own.

5: Some fans believe the band's name comes from Ernest Hemingway's classic novel The Killers, whilst others think it comes from New Order's video for Crystal.
