Purity Ring - Asido

It's been five years since Purity Ring released their debut album Shrines. And in honor of that anniversary the band shared a new song as a "standalone gift" to fans, while they work on their next album. "Asido" features the sparkling synths and throbbing bass that have come to define the electro-pop group's trademark sound. In other words, it's got enough ethereal beauty to hold you over until their next full-length project drops.

The pairing makes sense as the rapper accesses his more sensitive side. "I am the loneliest man alive, but I keep on dancing to throw them off," he states. It's a clever, frenetic and occasionally poignant bit of hip-hop.

"Beat Down" is their newest track and it's bouncy energy proves that this is one of the most fun musical side projects around.
