Written by Kandi Burruss and Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, this song is about a guy going through a breakup and still having feelings for his ex. He is heartbroken when he sees her with a total jerk. Burruss and Briggs also wrote "No Scrubs" for TLC and "Bills, Bills, Bills" for Destiny's Child. Their trademark was rap melodies for verses; Burruss said Justin Timberlake suggested calling it "mapping," as in rapping with melody.
