Akira Senju (千住明, Senju Akira, born 21 October 1960) is a multi-award winning Japanese composer. He majored in music composition in 1988 from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and proceeded to the Graduate School of the University receiving his master's degree, summa cum laude, in composition in 1990. He has written many scores for film, TV-series, anime and advertisements. He collaborates frequently with his sister, violinist, Mariko Senju.
