Alvie Self was born in Cottonwood, Arizona .He grew Up In Verde Valley In his youth he worked in Rodeo, and also as a Heavy-Equipment Operator. At first he played Accordion , then took up guitar playing with a solid-body Les Paul guitar and used a Magnatone Amp.
