Co-written with theatre director Jacques Levy, 'Oh Sister', from the 1976 album Desire, has never been one of Bob Dylan's most popular songs. Nevertheless, Andrew Bird's version has a certain redeeming loveliness to it. This track was recorded in spring 2005 for a MOJO magazine compilation, and later remixed for Bird's 2007 Soldier On EP. Bird's frequent collaborator Nora O'Connor provides the female harmony supplied by Emmylou Harris in the original.
