Biography
South African singer-songwriter Andy Lund grew up with a distinctive passion for music. Raised in a musical family with a folk singer father, Lund’s destiny was already laid out before taking his first steps.
Making his work known through underground bands in Cape Town like Low and Black Angus and Roswell Kings, nothing was going to stop this talented singer-songwriter from pursuing a career in the music business. Stripping down to acoustic guitar, Lund generated a collection of songs that brought back an original love of the voice and the appreciation for clean melodies.
But it wasn’t long before he missed the chemistry of playing with a full band and recruited a band of mission men to form a talented group of sound agents. Now comprising of Andy Lund (vocals and guitar), Adam Hill (guitar), Werner Von Waltsleben (drummer) and the multi-talented Sean Ou Tim (bass), the sky is the limit for Lund and his men.
Andy Lund & The Mission Men released their debut album "Soundtrack To A Muted Heart" in 2008 which has a vintage, ‘old school’ feel as most of the instrumentation was recorded live in the studio.
In 2013, Andy Lund & The Mission Men released their second full length album, “Faster We Run”, which offers a more mature sound and a greater sense of experimentation.
