Produced at Street Level Studio in Cape Town with Chris Tait, 'Faster We Run' is the 2013 release from Andy Lund & The Mission Men. The name is taken from a song on the album, which according to Andy "is about how none of this life is real. None of the pain, none of the stress, none of the sadness, none of the craziness but still, faster we run - the title just kind of summed up the feeling and mood of the album."

'Faster We Run' is a lot heavier than the previous Andy Lund & The Mission Men release 'Soundtrack To A Muted Heart'. Discussing the change in sound, Andy says that he loves so many different styles and genres that he feels that there is not only one that defines him as a songwriter. "I also love the idea of a band evolving and adapting, never stagnating. With our previous album we approached it in a very acoustic, stripped down, vintage way which was right for those songs and where we were at the time. But with 'Faster We Run', I didn’t want to do ‘Soundtrack For A Muted Heart – Part 2!’ With this new record the band had developed and changed, so we went into the studio with a clean slate. We let the songs be what they were meant to be without the limitations we set for ourselves previously."
