“Nothing’s Free” is a song by the American singer-songwriter Angel Olsen. It was released as the lead single to her EP Forever Means on March 7, 2023. According to Olsen in a press release, the song is about “that point when self-denial breaks and you notice how long you‘ve been restraining who you are” and she wrote the song after coming to “terms with identity and sexuality," saying that she was "opening up in a new way." The song was produced by Angel Olsen and Jonathan Wilson, who also collaborated on her 2022 album Big Time.
