King Tubby's dub version of the Augustus Pablo produced Jacob Miller song "Baby I love you so" released in 1974 as a 7" on Pablo International. Thought by many to be the quintessential example of dub - taking the original song and stripping it down to it's bare bones of heavily echoed drums and bass, whilst dropping in shards of original vocal and melodica, inducing a dreamlike quality to the warped sonics enveloping your ears and brain!

Horace Swaby (June 21, 1954 – May 18, 1999), better known as Augustus Pablo, the melodica king, was a Jamaican roots reggae and dub record producer and keyboardist, active from the 1970s onwards. He was perhaps the first person to use the melodica as a viable musical instrument. He was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica and learned to play the organ in Kingston College School.
