Colloquially, the famous Nigerian Prince scams are called “419 scams”. “419” also refers to April 19 or “Bicycle Day”. This day is celebrated for being the first day LSD was consumed intentionally. In 1943, Dr. Albert Hofmann feared the drug had made him ill, so he went home, and during his bicycle ride, he experienced the effects of getting high with LSD for the first time in human history.
