Bas & Ram were both dj-ing for several years already when they started to play together at the trance buddha, where they were put together by the management of this club who asked them to turn the club into a success. within 3 weeks they were supported by hundreds of followers and after a few months it was sold out every weekend (cap.1000) and well known in the entire amsterdam dance scene. bas & ram where besides their residency also responsible for the creative management on the saturday night.
The Buddha at that time was the first club with a full program of trance trough out the week. they invited through the years dj's and live act's like: gary d, andreas kramer (russenmaffia), tiesto, dj energy, les ryder (cream), junk project, plastic angel, signum, j.p., spider, astrid and more…
Bas & Ram developed their own style of hardtrance which not much dj's play in holland. this style is not to be confused with hardstyle or hardhouse. bas & ram have a little cross over to these music styles but manly its hardtrance. inspired by the music from swiss and germany. this mixture of hardtrance,trance and harddance is the perfect blend of energy, rhythm, bass and melody. put the two together and you'll find yourself movin' on an overdose of dance! they where satisfying the growing hurdle of fans!!
They also made their own party called "legends of sound" at the stedelijk museum (2000 cap.), paradiso (1500cap.) and closing the amsterdam uitmarkt at the museumplein (60.000 people). in 2001 the buddha closed down (r.i.p.), and they where asked for a new club night "protocol''. at this small underground club they pleased the people for almost 1 year, giving bas & ram new opportunities to grow further and getting even more popular! nowadays bas & ram have been picked up and pushed by id&t and q-dance because of there unique style of music. and are playing at parties like: shockers (25.000 people), trance energy (20.000), mysteryland festival (35.000) and sensation (40.000) also at qlimax,impulz,decibel, contact etc. at the moment they're playing all around hollands best clubs, parties and festivals. and they are also breaking through in international countries like: oekranie, belgium, portugal, azoren, brasil, poland, germany, mexico, england, israel, greece, macedonie and more…
