Albatross is the third studio album by Canadian rock band Big Wreck. The album was released on March 6, 2012 in Canada, and on February 19, 2013 in the US. After the 2001 release of The Pleasure and The Greed, Big Wreck would split up due to creative differences, with frontman Ian Thornley starting a solo career and founding a new band, titled "Thornley". Big Wreck is a Canadian-American rock band formed by Ian Thornley, guitarist Brian Doherty, bassist Dave Henning and drummer Forrest Williams while they were students at the Berklee College of Music (Boston, Massachusetts) in 1994. After several years of gigging in Boston and Cambridge, the band signed to a major label and released its debut album In Loving Memory of... in 1997.
