"The Hardest Part" is the second US single from Blondie's fourth album Eat To The Beat. It was written by vocalist Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The song reached number 84 on Billboard's Hot 100 and number 86 on RPM 100 Singles. It was considered the best song off of Eat To The Beat by Billboard magazine, who described it as "a solid-rock disco number featuring… icily effective vocals". The song was sampled in “Funky” by Tic Tac Toe. A home demo of the song was included on Blondie’s first archival project “Against The Odds: 1974 - 1982”.
