Mixed-Up Confusion is a song written and recorded by Bob Dylan. It was recorded on November 14th 1962 and was destined to be his first single and included on The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan According to legend, Dylan wrote the song in a cab on the way to the Columbia Studios for the recording session. The single was shelved by Dylan. The song was released on Biograph in 1985. Interestingly enough, Dylan plays with an (electric) band, resulting in a song very unlike the rest of the album it was recorded to be on.
