such a good fucking track, almost cheesy in its nostalgia but sincere enough to be very relatable and charming

... 3 July '76 ... waiting for a catch a ride in a Cessna 174 for a sunset 10k foot jump at the local Drop Zone ... "Night Moves" playing on the jumpmaster's teepee sound system ... and then I met my dear wife-to-be (who never got the nerve to make jump #1) ... Funny how we all manage to associate a particular event with a particular song . And a great song it was and always will be ... at least for me .

V. "rushed the gate." Makes me wince when I see/hear that. You gotta be careful out there! General Admission Festival seating anyone? Afterwards banned at the time in Cincy, BUT --> Anybody old enough to remember the Cincinnati Riverfront Coliseum Concert stampede on Dec 3 1979? Eleven died. Ask The Who at the time! Wasn't their fault, they didn't know what happened. Made me think,it's coming up on 33 yrs ago next month. A sorrowful tragedy.
