This is where they started to incorporate Dark-Ambient heavily and altered their style to become more drone-y with songs such as Midnight Black Earth and Vigilante Crusade, which I'm not that particularity fond of as I am with say Constant Fear or Destroying Angels. But personal preferences aside, this is definitely a great follow-up to the astounding Sunset Mission.

v I agreed with this entirely at first, but now after listening to it for years, I like that it's more ambient/less jazzy than Sunset Mission. Black Earth is meant to be it's own kind of entry in their discography as opposed to being "Sunset Mission part 2", except slightly darker sounding.

perfect for the melancholic days and for the dark nights. also good for studying, working etc. because of how non-intrusive this is

it's a demanding listen and incredibly rewarding one. I thought dolores is my fav, but actually, this is equally good, if not better.
