This song was spurred on by a tragic story of a childhood friend of Matt Shultz who was abducted and murdered; the event was traumatic for him and the community around him. The instrumentation and vocal style on this track is similar and reminiscent to “Do Sétimo Andar” by Los Hermanos and “Elenore” by The Turtles.
