"Someday" is a song released by Carpenters for their debut album Ticket to Ride. It was written by Richard Carpenter and John Bettis. In From the Top, Richard revels that Karen had a cold at the time and was never happy with the recording. They were planning on redoing "Someday" and "Eve", two songs that were always near and dear to the duo, unfortunatelly they never got to do so due to Karen's passing. Welsh singer Shirley Bassey released a cover of "Someday" on November, 1972.
