After playing drums for School of Fish in the early 90's, Chad Fischer soon moved on to front his own band, Lazlo Bane, on ALMO Sounds, best known for the NBC Scrubs theme song, "Superman". Working in the cozy environment of his ever growing studio, Lookout Sound, in the heart of LA's historic Laurel Canyon, Fisher was soon writing with and producing various luminaries such as Colin Hay, Liz Phair, Lisa Loeb as well as developing new unknown acts such as Alexi Murdoch.
