"I Used to Spend So Much Time Alone" is the third studio album by American indie rock band Chastity Belt. Released on 2 June 2017 by Hardly Art, the band finished the album after an eight-day recording session with the producer Matthew Simms. Two singles preceded the album's release: the lead single "Different Now" on March 8, 2017 and the second single "Caught in a Lie" on April 4, 2017. The band embarked on a North American and European tour in support of the album.

Chastity Belt is an American indie rock and indie pop band consisting of Julia Shapiro, Lydia Lund, Annie Truscott and Gretchen Grimm. They formed in Walla Walla, Washington, during 2010 while studying at Whitman College. They take a humorous approach to feminine-stereotypes and customs in their lyricism, challenging gender norms and femininity as a construct. Chastity Belt is now residing in Seattle, WA and Los Angeles, CA.
