The Afterman: Ascension is the sixth studio album by progressive rock band Coheed and Cambria. It is the first part of a double album, the second part of which is The Afterman: Descension. Coheed and Cambria is an American progressive rock band from Nyack, New York. Formed in 2001, the group incorporates aspects of progressive rock, punk rock, metal, post-hardcore, emo and alternative rock.
