A year ago when I first decided to listen to this album I had no idea what I was going to hear. I’d heard it be labeled under a multitude of genres, from math rock to indie rock to emo. However, one thing was unchanging; there was always praise and eventually curiosity got the best of me and I ended up giving it a listen. 1.) Colossal is a 5-piece band based in Elgin, Illinois. Eli Caterer plays guitar; Pat Ford plays guitar and sings; Rob Kellenberger plays drums and sings backups; Neil Hennessy plays second drums; and Chris Perrin plays bass. Eli was and is in The Smoking Popes. Rob was in Slapstick and Tuesday, and currently plays with Duvall and The Smoking Popes. Neil is currently a member of The Lawrence Arms and The Falcon.
