Biography
David Sylvian, formerly of the band Japan, and Ryuichi Sakamoto, formerly of Yellow Magic Orchestra, are sometime musical collaborators with a long history of successful projects between them, Sakamoto's jazz-infleunced piano lines providing a foil for Sylvian's laconic singing style.
As well as continually contributing to each other's studio albums notable collaborations include:
Taking Islands In Africa (1980) from Gentlemen Take Polaroids.
Bamboo Music / Bamboo Houses (1982)
Forbidden Colours (1983) from the Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence soundtrack
Heartbeat (Tainai Kaiki II) / Cloud #9 (1990) from Heartbeat.
World Citizen (2003)
