Coming in as the first interlude at the halfway point on Drake’s eighth full-length studio album, For All The Dogs, ”Screw The World (Interlude)” pays homage to legendary Houston-native, DJ Screw, his biggest breakthrough in music was his ability to chop and screw music. In Screw’s words, it’s what he hears and experiences when he is intoxicated by marijuana. This particular track is one of DJ Screw’s chopped-and-screwed covers of Nas’ iconic track “If I Ruled The World”, from his 1996 classic, It Was Written.
