Biography
Elijah is a singer and songwriter from Woodstock, NY. At only 19, he is already an accomplished musician, having played more than 500 shows in over 7 different bands.Through his involvement in past bands, Elijah has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of his favorite artists including The Misfits, Levon Helm, The Wailers, Streetlight Manifesto, Sister Nancy, and many others. Spending time at the legendary Levon Helm Rambles instilled in Elijah a deep appreciation for folk and roots music. There, he had the opportunity to learn by observing the amazing musicians that walked through those doors, and the experience would set him on the path to creating Elijah & The Moon, devoting the bulk of his time to working on songs for the project, and eventually gathering a group of friends to play in the band. Elijah currently studies Studio Composition at SUNY Purchase’s Conservatory of Music. His music is heavily influenced by artists such as Fleet Foxes, Mumford and Sons, Bob Dylan, Noah And The Whale, Woody Guthrie, and many others. As a musician, his goal is to tell the story of human history and reflect the light shining from our current generations through his music. His brand new EP ‘As Tall As The Sun’ is the first chapter, focusing on strength of character, growth, and the ability to embrace change.
