"Church" is the fifth track on Fall Out Boy's seventh studio album, MANIA. The song is an epic love anthem featuring strong religious imagery, particularly that of Christianity, as metaphors for worship in terms of a romantic relationship, as well as its connection to a more spiritual one. To service this, the track also features prevalent samples of a pipe organ, large church choir and cathedral bells. These themes continue into the next track: “Heaven’s Gate.” Patrick Stump revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone that the song originally had a different vocal melody and lyrics.
