Franz Jakob Freystädtler , also Freystädter or Freystadler (born September 13, 1761 in Salzburg , † December 1, 1841 in Vienna) was an Austrian composer and piano teacher. He was a student of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Franz Jakob Freystädtler was a son of Johann Jacob Freystädtler (* approx. 1720 in Eichstätt ; † July 4, 1787 in Salzburg), who was the parish choir regent and " death singer " of St. Sebastian in Salzburg.
