GD&TOP is a sub-unit of the South Korean pop group BIG BANG that consists of two members, G-Dragon, and T.O.P under YG Entertainment Inc..
On November 29th, an announcement about BIG BANG's 2011 comeback appeared on YG-life, along with information on the members solo activities, which included the official announcement of the G-Dragon and T.O.P sub-unit. Earlier that month, before the announcement, the unit hosted a party where filming for their first music video took place.
The units first public broadcast occurred at the 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards, where they performed the song, 뻑이가요. Then, on December 14th, the duo's "World Premier" showcase was streamed live on YouTube, via BIG BANG's official channel. The next day, they digitally released two songs from their debut album, along with the music video for their song High High. The unit performed High High, and Oh Yeah (featuring 박봄 of 2NE1) on SBS Inkigayo on December 19th.
Their debut album as GD&TOP was released on December 24th, 2010. The album contains 11 tracks and includes solo songs by both members. The majority of the album was produced by Teddy and E. Knock, with both G-Dragon and T.O.P contributing to composition, and writing. The duo is set to promote three songs from the album - High High, Oh Yeah, and 뻑이가요.
