“Fix Me Now” is the eleventh track on Garbage’s self-titled debut album. The song was originally titled “Chris Cornell”, as Manson at the time was obsessed with Soundgarden’s frontman. She and Vig remembered, in an interview recorded the day of his death, that there was an early demo of the song featuring said title and even Cornell’s full name in the lyrics.

Garbage is a Scottish-American alternative rock band formed in 1994 in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. The group members are Shirley Manson (vocals, guitars), Steve Marker (guitars, keyboards), Duke Erikson (guitars, keyboards, bass), and Butch Vig (drums, percussion).
