Hard Skool is a song from the Chinese Democracy sessions. It originally leaked as a 16-second snippet in 2006 under the title 'Checkmate'. In a 2008 forum Q&A, Axl Rose confirmed 'Checkmate' to be a fake title, while joking that the real title was 'Jackie Chan'. On July 26 2019, a new 28-second snippet leaked, with the tracklisting of a demonstration disc from 2000 revealing the real title as 'Hardschool', and the full track leaked on August 24.
