Bajan is a cover of the original song written by Luis Alberto Spinetta. It was originally the seventh track on Pescado Rabioso's 1973 album, Artaud. The song is thought to be seen as the end of a cycle, and the beginning of a new stage, similar to the passage of time. Spinetta is said to have been rarely pleased with a cover, but he and Cerati considered the cover a respectful tribute to one of the most emblematic themes of youth for Cerati. They performed the song live together in 2007 and 2009.
