“It’s Okay” serves as the eighth track from Imagine Dragons' fifth studio album, Mercury – Act 1. Lyrically, the song reinforces the idea that it is perfectly normal to not be happy, content, or comfortable in your own skin all of the time. It also widely incorporates themes of LGBTQ acceptance, which the band has openly and loyally devoted to since 2017, especially in regard to LGBTQ youth. The song is also the third of six songs that ex-band member Andrew Tolman had a hand in penning.
