The album, exploring a combination of RnB and avant-garde music, began as a conceptual project for Ferraro to only record at or around midnight, and the material was "realized" instead of planned out. James Louis Ferraro (born November 7, 1986) is a musician, composer, producer, and visual artist who helped pioneer the hypnagogic pop and vaporwave music genres, and whose work often explores subjects such as hyper-reality and consumer culture.
