It was released in 1993 on Amphetamine Reptile Records, and it was the only album to feature bassist Kristen Pfaff, who would leave the band to join Hole later that year. Janitor Joe was a three-person band originating from Minneapolis in the early 1990's. It featured Joachim Breuer (formerly in Bastards) on guitar, Kristen Pfaff on bass, and Matt Entsminger on the drums, with both Breuer and Pfaff sharing vocals. The band was beginning to get famous when Pfaff joined Hole. A replacement bassist was found. Pfaff returned to Janitor Joe briefly before her death in 1994.
