Jiří Jaroch (born September 23, 1920 in Smilkov, died December 30, 1986 in Prague ) was a Czech composer and teacher. He is best known for his three symphonies , which resemble works by contemporary Czech composers. He has also composed orchestral works, chamber music, string quartets, etc. Jaroch belonged to a generation of Czech composers which shaped itself and entered the musical scene in the 1940s.
