Composer, producer and founder of the Pop Noire record label, Johnny Hostile (born Nicolas Congé) is a Paris-based French musician, mainly known for his work as a producer with the rock band Savages or the french pop project Lescop. At the age of 12 he learned drumming and percussion at a free jazz school where he was taught the art of improvisation. At the age of 20, he trained as a composer of electroacoustic music and musique concrète, making him one of the youngest of his generation in the field. In 2005 he moved to London with his partner Jehnny Beth, and began his career as John & Jehn.
