Jon Christensen (born Jon Ivar Christensen on 20 March 1943; died 18 February 2020) was a Norwegian jazz drummer noted for his work with Jan Garbarek, for being a central participant in the Jazz band, Masqualero, as well as being a session drummer for several ECM Records artists during the seventies and eighties. In the late 1960s, Christensen played alongside Jan Garbarek on several recordings by the composer George Russell.
