Not content with playing in Bad Manners and Busters Allstars, Welsh launched his alter ego King Hammond in 1988 with the track 'King Hammond Shuffle' on the 'Ska For Ska's Sake' compilation. Initially intended as a one-off project, the reaction to the King Hammond tune led to a full album, Revolution 70.
