6 Feet Beneath the Moon closes on “Bathed In Grey”, a poet’s paradise of rhyming tercets that paint a deathly ballad, all framed in soft piano, and the closing words reference track three, “Has This Hit”, in a clever lyrical reprise. This song samples Jazz saxophonist Bill Evans' track "What Is There to Say." Krule explained to MTV News how when he was a child he used to listen to jazz melodies on repeat. "Improvisation is beautiful because it's only there in that moment," he said, "and I can take that moment and prolong it as much as possible with my song."
