This album sounds like it is on the cusp between the entire future of electronic music and an alien planet

This marks an important transition between the first two albums, which are noisier and harsher than the later "Electropop" albums everyone loves. One of my favorites from this great group.

Here we travel to some earlier period ... to the time before Kraftwerk have been working on their first couple of albums. They are speaking into bizarre sounding vocoders and patching in cables to monstrous modular synthesizers. Also, underneath it all is a bed of soft piano and some light flute. The early phase of what would become "Autobahn" and "Trans-Europe Express" is just beginning. What strikes me a lot in their experimental music is the natural way it sound pleasing to the human ear. In addition to peculiar and ordinary yet extraordinarily used instruments, it appeared to me to form the music of extremely high value. This is not only in terms of musical aesthetics, but metaphorically.
