Le Chant Noir is one of those unexpected surprises. It started out in 2016 as an avant-garde project combining Black/Death/Progressive Metal with Classical music and anything that works. The recording sessions were very unorthodox. The intention was to obtain an organic sound which is rarely achieved today. A cheap drum kit with no bottom heads was used and recorded on an old 4-track recorder to achieve a retro sound.
