“State Of Emergency” finds Logic collaborating with Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz for the first time over a hard-hitting beat by DJ Khalil, Tariq Beats, and Vontae Thomas, who also produced the track “Killing Spree” on Logic’s previous Everybody album. The song finds both rappers spitting braggadocious verses without a chorus, with 2 Chainz bragging about having a “summa cum laude” in drug dealing while Logic fires back at his haters who are now clapping as he’s being nominated for Grammys and achieved his first multi-platinum single.
