The Weekend is a house song created by Michael Gray, released on November 4. It debuted and peaked at no. 7 on UK charts, and was in the top 10 of Billboard's Hot Dance airplay. The main synth line is an interpolation from Kerr's "Back At Ya," while the lyric "I can't wait for the weekend to begin" interpolates another song called Get Down Saturday Night by Oliver Cheatham. Roll Deep would later make an alternate version with Gray to produce "Can't Wait For The Weekend", which incorporates rap vocals and incorporates more electro into the mix.
